Well, this is the first time that I am journaling about my children. I have the two most wonderful daughters in the world. God has truly blessed our family with their lives. I feel especially honored to be chosen as their mother. I hope that in their lives, they will know how much they mean to me and how much I love them and that I would do absolutely ANYTHING for them. They have filled my life with so many memories. I should have started writing them down when they were born, but I didn't and now all I have to go on is my memory! So, I am going to try and do this every day and see how it goes...
Most recently, my mom and dad took the girls for a "grandma and grandpa day" Keely and Mali love these times so much. This time, Grandma and Grandpa took them to the pool at the YMCA. Both girls love to swim so this was a good choice. When they returned home and were telling me about all the fun they had. I asked if Grandpa was a good swimmer. They said yes, but Mali said, "But Grandma wasn't a really great swimmer!" Just flat out. Grandma needs some practice at swimming! (Mali is 2, Keely is 4)
Grandma called us the following day to tell the girls that the moon was out. Mali ran to the window and reported. "Yup! The moon is empty!!" (meaning full!)
Mali loves her "best buddy" Diego. She watches him on TV and says to Dad, "Go away Daddy!" Hopefully she will not do this later in life!!
Keely is growing and growing. She goes to Sunday school and takes swimming lessons. She is such a fast learner and loves, LOVES to cook and help mom bake. I wish I had a penny for every funny moment she has given me. She is becoming quite the lady and I can't wait to see what she will be like as a youth, and teenager and adult! Although I'm not quite ready for her to grow up THAT fast! She was just in my cousin Lanae's wedding a few weekends ago. She did a wonderful job as flowergirl. She threw leaves down the aisle for the bride. She took her sweet time coming down so everyone could see her. And as she got to the front, where I was standing, she looked at me and asked, "Now, who is going to pick all those up?" This is something she NEVER hears at home! She was quite a trooper all day long through photos and everything.
They are so good, sometimes I have to pinch myself... I love you girls with all my heart! Keep smiling and the world will smile with you!
Love,
Mom
